Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

One of the reasons we chose Jacksonville, was that fathers got in free to the zoo on Fathers Day! We had a great time, it wasn't too hot and there was a water park inside that the kids could cool off in. Brayden loved the otters the best, because they were frisky and play fighting!

Jacksonville for Fathers Day Weekend!

We decided to take a family Fathers Day weekend get-away trip to Jacksonville Florida! The first day we were there, we went to the beach-then at night we went and hung out at their downtown Riverwalk. There was a band playing, we ate dinner then took a walk along the water. We had a blast!

DIY Decorative Platter With Sharpie

I took this idea from Pinterest too. The only thing different I had to do, was bake it at 450 degrees for half an hour. When I did it at the low temps that Pinterest shows, the marker rubbed off. Once I cooked the plate in the oven at 450 degrees, it worked great and did NOT rub off at that point. You can use any dish/plate/platter/bowl you want, just make sure it's oven proof.
