Silly just for fun...

Tavola

These were BOAR meatballs! Delicious! Scrumptous!

I was so drunk at the end of this bottle that when I went inside to pee after we ate, the server told me to put on my mask first before I entered the building (because we ate outside) and the mask was around my chin the whole time--but I kept telling him I was going to go get it at the table. I finally realized I had it around my ears. THEN I forgot my phone on the table after we left--and I didn't realize it until we were TEN blocks away. I called them from Eric's phone and they said they were holding it, so that was lucky. We had to walk all the way back. HAHAHAHA

This was the BEST pizza I'd ever had in my life. It was spinach, feta, olives, mozzarella, and olive oil. RIDICULOUSLY good. I ate the whole thing!

A gloriously enchanting spring day in Central Park

I have said it multiple times and I'll say it again...the weather I got to experience during my birthday week in NYC was exceptional...magical...wonderful. It was seriously SO BEAUTIFUL every day. The day after my birthday, we first went to the museum, then we decided to walk around in Central Park after because it was right across the street. The sun warmed our backs. We basked in it on a cluster of rocks overlooking the pond where people were kayaking and paddle boating. It was incredible. The picturesque views of the skyline are unimaginable. We saw a bunch of turtles laying in the sun on logs in the pond. Hudson and Jackson made a little friend who kept telling them not to jump into the water from the rocks. It was really cute.

Trip to the Museum of Natural History

Recreating Hudson's 3 year old picture in the same spot

I bought Hudson a Yankees shirt that was exactly like the first one he wore in this picture when he was three years old, but I forgot it at home! I was SO bummed about that--but I opted to take the recreation photo anyway--in the EXACT same location as the first time. It turned out pretty good, and I'm happy we did it anyway--this time the 9 year old version!

Trip to NYC Edge--100 stories above!

The trip to the top of NYC Edge in Hudson Yards was one of the most incredible experiences I'd ever had in my life. I was so grateful for the gorgeous weather, too. The sunset was astounding. It was a dream come true and I was beyond thrilled to be sharing that experience with my beautiful family on my birthday. we paid extra for the sunset and champagne package and it was well worth it. Even the elevator ride up was magical and brought tears to my eyes because I couldn't believe how lucky and blessed I was to be getting to have such an exciting experience, 100 stories up on top of the world, overlooking all of Manhattan at sunset. I feel like the city calls to my heart. It draws me in. I connect to the energy here. It's almost like the city is alive inside me like I have this established connection with it where it will always be an enchanting part of me. It's a special pull that hooks me in, almost like the city loves ME as much as I love IT. I also feel like we got the best of both worlds because we stayed a little extra to be able to see the city all lit up at night. It was a joyous time. It was a profound experience that I won't soon forget.
