Salsa Sausage Over Rice
This is just something I made up out of the pantry trying to get rid of some sausage links I had. I browned the sausage links and cooked them on the skillet until they were no longer pink in the middle. Then I cut them into cubes. Then I took an 8 oz jar of spaghetti sauce and half a cup of canned salsa (any kind will do) and mixed it together with 1 8 oz can of water (used after I poured the spaghetti sauce in the pan). Then I seasoned with minced garlic, salt, pepper and onion powder to taste. and simmered in the pan for about 20 minutes or as long as it takes to make the rice. I used yellow saffron rice and blended nicely with the sausage and the sauce.
Our Thankful Tree
This really puts into perspective how much we have to be thankful for! We did a new leaf with something we were thankful for each day for all of November.

A Lowcountry Christmas
We had a good time opening up the holiday season by going to the Boone Hall event. We really enjoyed the Christmas Carol Hayride and the kids had fun afterward running through the Christmas trees!

Turkey Cheeseball
This adorable lil guy was made using 1 8 oz package cream cheese, 1/2 cup parmesean cheese, 1/2 cup mozzerella cheese, some garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, italian seasonings all mixed and blended together and formed into a round ball shape. Then I took a tiny piece off for the head of the turkey. Next I rolled the body (large ball) in sliced almond shavings. Then I placed the head on the large ball and placed in the fridge to set for an hour. Then I used a carrot for the nose and black olives for the eyes. Then I used pretzel sticks and sliced pecans for the feathers. Serve with veggies or crackers. Gobble gobble!

Gobble Gobble! Turkey Cupcakes!
These were so cute and a big hit. I just made cupcakes and chocolate frosting according to box and online instructions, then got some google eyes from the supermarket, along with a red icig pen and candy corns, to make the face and feet! So cute and easy!

Pilgrim Hats
These were so easy! I just flipped over chocolate fudge cookies so the bottom showed, then I used an icing pen to glue on the flipped down Reeses cup. Then I drew a square for the hat buckle and edged the Reeses to make the hat brim. Cute Thanksgiving treat!
